F.A.Q.

How do I walk in Hooves/Paws?

Practice. Practice. Practice. These shoes are definitely something you will need to get the hang of. We recommend wearing thick socks so they don't slip off and insoles to help with long term wear.

They are best suited for flat level surfaces. The rubbery section on the bottom of the hooves are a traction system for slick surfaces. If you are planning on navigating other terrains we recommend one or multiple of the following for additional support: A walking stick/An ankle brace/Elastic Strap. You can use other supportive methods but make sure it does have some stretch so you are less likely to roll your ankle.

Stairs are tricky but not impossible. Make sure to use a handrail! Due to the design of the hoof it sticks out past your foot, so it is best to walk up and down stairs sideways.

Make sure to watch out for tripping hazards, pot holes, and uneven surfaces that rise above an inch.

Are the leggings removable?

Yes! The are attached to the shoes with Velcro and can be easily removed for cleaning or changing them out for any other foot-less legging.

What size shoe should I order?

All products that need sizing have the corresponding sizing charts in the product photos. These are the images we have to help you properly size your order.

How do I clean/maintain your products?

Hooves: Our hooves are very durable. If you DO NOT have custom paint you can scrub them with soap and water and sand down any scuffs or scrapes. You can use a lubricant like WD-40 to "polish" up any sanded portions.

If you do have a custom paint job just be mindful that it is painted on top of the base hoof and will rub off over time. You can do your best to refresh the paint job on your own, but that is at your discretion.

Leggings: The leggings are easily detachable and can be washed in a regular machine on a COLD setting. If you have Any with fur however please see the Fur portion of this section.

Traction System: Like any shoe traction it will eventually wear away over time. If you find that it is worn down too much you can easily repair it using hot glue. Clean off the existing pad (the best you can), warm it up with the nozzle of a glue gun and add a thin layer of glue. It is best to have a way to keep your shoe level while applying this new layer as it cools.

Fur: If your leggings have fur you can wash the leggings with attached fur in the washer on a COLD and GENTLE setting. You must AIR DRY ONLY after washing. Any other fur that isn't attached to leggings can be hand washed/gently machine washed with a mild detergent and left to AIR DRY. Make sure to gently brush the fur while it is still wet.

Excessive heat and faux fur do not mix! If there are any creases in the fur, you can use a medium setting on a hair dryer to blow out the creases. BE CAREFUL you can melt the fibers with too hot of a setting, so gradually increase the heat until you get results. You can test on a small unseen portion of fur first if you are worried.
